Measuring for Proper Fit: Waist: To measure the natural waist (not over pants), keep one finger between the tape and the body. Have your child stand tall with arms relaxed at their sides. Using a soft vinyl measuring tape, measure around the smallest part of the waist. As the child bends to the side, the natural waistline can be determined. The tape should not be too tight. If the measurements fall between two sizes, it is recommended to order the larger size.

Seat/Hips: Stand with the heels together and measure around the fullest part.

Inseam: To measure the inseam, have your child stand with legs slightly apart. Using a soft vinyl tape measure, measure from just below their crotch down to the floor. Once the measurement is taken, subtract 1 ½ inches from that number. Record the length in inches, as this will be their inseam. Alternatively, you can measure the inside seam of a pair of well-fitting pants to determine the inseam length. Place the pants on a level surface and measure the inside seam from the crotch to the hem.
